Napoleon Hill

I was in college in 1978 and feeling down. School was becoming a burden. My mom would send me little care packages and newspaper clippings to try and motivate and cheer me up. Everynow and then one of the clippings would be a reprint of a short article from Napoleon Hill. I am not sure why I remembered so many years later, probably because like many things our parents do or say they sink in... eventually.

In may 2002 the venture capital start up that I worked for layed off 90% of it's workers including me. I spent the next 10 months looking for work. It was like Nuclear Winter in the Telecom industry. I had spent 20 years developing what I thought was a great carrer. I was on the merry go round and reached out for the brass ring and got thrown off.

During my stretch of unemployment I rediscovered Napoleon Hill through the foundations web site. http://www.naphill.org/

To be continued...
